In the current world of emails, social media and constant interaction the mind can start to race, not being able to focus on any one thing. Tim runs this drop in meditation group to provide a moment of calm and focus at the start of the week.
The meditation lasts about 25 minutes in total and Tim talks you through the process. Tim uses a range of meditation techniques in the group including focusing on the breath, body scans, visualisations and a period of reflection to provide a relaxing space and time in the midst of the working day.
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to more experienced meditators. There is a difference to meditation as part of a group as opposed to doing it on your own. If you’re not certain that you are going to be able to meditate then a group can be a great place to start, Don’t worry if you think you can’t do it or your mind always wanders from what you’re doing: if you notice your mind wandering then that is part of the meditation.
