Yoga with Darryl
Darryl creates a relaxed and supportive environment in which everyone can feel comfortable enough to let go and throw themselves into their practice. His classes are slow-flowing, challenging and meditative with a strong focus on finding physical alignment and increasing awareness.
You can expect to practice various breathing techniques and inversions like headstands and forearm balances. As the self-proclaimed ‘Stiffest yoga teacher in London’ Darryl wants to bust the myth that yoga is only for the fit and flexible so there are always different options offered. And you’ll be encouraged to use plenty of props to help you practice safely whilst exploring the physical and emotional effects of each posture.
Like many people, Darryl originally started practising yoga as a way to manage various physical injuries, aches and pains. But it was the positive effects that practices like meditation and breathwork had on his mental wellbeing that he found the most beneficial and inspired him to study and teach others. As a lifelong Londoner, Darryl understands the stresses and anxieties that people can experience when living and working in a competitive city, so believes that the ancient practice of yoga is as relevant today as it’s ever been.
