Katie’s yoga journey started in 2012, after a tough time with a personal loss. She had quit her stressful job in music to travel the world and fell in love with yoga on a beach in South India, a country she has deep roots with having been going there since she was a child. She felt instantly drawn to the healing powers of yoga both mentally, physically and spiritually and hasn’t really looked back since.
Continuing her own practice while exploring the world, she returned to India to complete both her 200hr and 300hr teacher training.
She is trained in Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin and enjoys to incorporate different styles into her classes. Her motto is taken from Jigargor ‘Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is about what you learn on the way down’ and this comes through in her classes, encouraging students to listen to their own bodies while supporting them in deepening their practice.
Her classes are designed to bring the core spiritual aspect of yoga to the mat, helping to energise and build a strong, healthy body and a peaceful mind, whilst not forgetting to lift up our hearts, smile and have fun.
Love and light x
