Libby is a Yoga Alliance UK 200hr YTT registered teacher of vinyasa flow yoga. She is currently studying for an advanced 500hr teacher training qualification.
What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?
Vinyasa means “breath synchronised movement”. Vinyasa yoga is a modern western style of yoga derived from the more traditional Indian ashtanga yoga popularised by K. Pattabhi Jois. Vinyasa flow is a continuous series of poses (asanas) that you will be asked to gently and smoothly flow through on either an exhale or an inhale. Vinyasa flow is one of the more physically challenging types of yoga. Strength and flexibility is created in the body by building heat from within via flowing movements and breath control. Whilst beginners are welcome, an understanding of the basic yoga asanas is beneficial for you to get the most from this class.
