Oceana is a quadrilingual third-culture kid who arrived in London via the Canary Islands to study design and never left. Having a deeply-rooted love of movement and creativity, she spent over a decade journeying into the yoga tradition, being immediately captivated by the transformational qualities of the discipline. Yoga restored a sense of balance and peace to her hectic London life that she thought she’d lost for good after leaving the Canaries.
After completing Yogacampus’ 18-month teacher training she has continued to expand her knowledge of yoga as a therapeutic practice within a variety of traditions, holding teachers such as Sarah Powers, Shiva Rea and Yogiraj Katrina Repka as key influences. Oceana firmly believes that yoga, mindfulness and relaxation are powerful tools that help us navigate the ups and downs of life more successfully.
To ensure that these practices are accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience level, she weaves mindfulness and compassion through her teaching. She currently offers Slow Flow, restorative Yin and Out-of-Office Yoga, as well as guided meditation classes within public, corporate or private settings around London. Off the mat she is an avid Crossfitter and Olympic-style weightlifter, as well as a lifelong surfer and occasional hand embroiderer.
