We’re at the tail end of the long and hazy Summer. As the nights are slowly drawing in we are blessed with more and more eager yogis rolling out their mats in our classes.
In this issue we are going to tempt you with prizes, shower you (and your chosen friend) with treats and let you in on a little secret as to how you can be the belle/beau of your office by bringing well-being into your workplace…

| Staying in (the office!) is the new going out… |
Under the impression that your desk chair was just for sitting on? Office workers of London, it’s time to think again….
We all know that we are a capital city of raging workaholics. Lunch, too often than not, is eaten whilst tapping away on your keyboard answering those pesky emails that could almost definitely wait. Given this, the mere thought of a leaving the office for a lunchtime yoga class seems laughable. However, fear not people of London! You can still get that blood circulation flowing without even having to leave your desk.
Chair yoga is no longer seen as something for O.A.P’s! It’s now used widely in offices city wide to keep workers’ health in check. If you are interested in organising a chair yoga taster session in your office email rebecca@clerkenwellbeing.co.ukto find out more.

And finally…
|
|
2.What is your go-to yoga practice?
My practice splits between old and new approaches.. but when I practice with someone- a teacher or mentor, they have to be with a lot of experience. I am not saying that young teachers are not great but I want to learn from someone who experienced from their personal practice, their teachings, mistakes, injuries etc. The same way that my students certainly expect the same thing from me.
3. What are the health benefits?
To heal body and mind and hopefully to become more happy! Change bad and old habits into better ones. Balance and ground. Become calmer and more relaxed. Learn to connect with ourselves and with others consequently become more compassionate. Generally make our lives worth living!
4. What can someone expect from one of your classes?
I call the class Mindful Hatha yoga to make sure we understand that we are going to slow down and work with ourselves on a deeper level. My classes will be a mixture of traditional yoga and ”out of the box” techniques. For me it doesn’t matter where they come from if they help us connect with ourselves more clearly and without struggling.
