Do you want to get a deeper understanding of the poses that are covered in yoga classes?
Do you feel like you could do a Head Stand, if only you could have the time to practice it with guidance?
Do you enjoy stripping back down to basics and understanding how to move into a pose with better alignment?
Do you want to find more depth, mobility and stability in your yoga practice?
If any of these ring true for you then these workshops might be just what you’re looking for!
Starting on Thursday 26th Feb, Jeni Howland will be running a series of 6-week Workshops.
The first of this series will be focusing on Inversions: poses where the heart is held above the head. There are a variety of poses in this category that have a plethora of benefits when done with correct alignment and awareness. Hand Stand promotes courage and vigour; Shoulder Stand – often referred to as The Queen of all Yoga Poses – calms the nervous system, supports the immune system, releases tension in the neck and shoulders and can lower blood pressure; Head Stand – often referred to as The King of all Yoga Poses – strengthens the shoulders, promotes longevity, increases mental capacity and can help to eliminate insomnia.
Over the course of 6 weeks you will be guided through the basics of poses such as Shoulder Stand, Head Stand and Hand Stand, building up the strength and correct alignment to do these posses. By gaining the strength and understanding of these poses you will gain confidence in yoga classes and in your own practice.
There are often times when we feel that we would rather not invert during a yoga class and this will be taken into consideration during this course. There will be options each week for strength work and for inversion preparation poses, without having to fully invert.
This Workshop is not available with the Mix and Match offers and is not a drop-in class. The cost is £66 for the whole 6-week Workshop which will run on Thursdays from 6pm-7pm, from Thursday 26th Feb until Thursday 2nd April.
