Yoga can assist with your physical and emotional wellbeing during your pregnancy and can help you to prepare for the birth of your baby.
As well as assisting with physical wellbeing yoga is helpful for relaxation and for relieving stress and anxiety. The classes may help you to embrace the changes that are happening during the various stages of your pregnancy. The techniques learnt may help to relieve some of the common ailments that you may experience during pregnancy. Breathing and relaxation techniques will be useful during your pregnancy and in assisting you to prepare for the birth of your baby.
During each class you will practice appropriate yoga postures specifically modified for pregnancy, breathing techniques, pelvic floor exercises, some work with sound, meditation and relaxation. The classes are a good way to meet other pregnant ladies in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Classes are suitable for ladies from 15 weeks to term. The classes are taught by an experienced Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist with an emphasis on appropriate practice for each lady attending.
